1. Who we are
NexSelect is an AI-powered recruitment platform operated in Belgium. We process personal data as a data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (hashed)
- Company data: company name, VAT number, address, contact details
- Candidate data: name, email, resume/CV, skills, work experience, education
- Application data: cover letters, AI interview responses, assessment scores
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
3. Why we process your data
- Contract performance: to provide our recruitment services
- Legitimate interest: to improve our platform and prevent fraud
- Consent: for marketing communications and cookies
- Legal obligation: tax and accounting requirements
4. AI processing
We use AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) to screen applications, conduct interviews, and generate assessment reports. No fully automated hiring decisions are made — all final hiring decisions are made by humans.
Under Article 22 GDPR, you have the right to request human review of any AI-generated assessment.
5. Data sharing
We share your data with:
- Employers: your application data is shared with the company you apply to
- Service providers: Supabase (hosting), Anthropic (AI), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting)
- We do not sell your personal data
6. Data retention
- Account data: until you delete your account
- Application data: 2 years after the vacancy is closed
- Invoice data: 7 years (Belgian legal requirement)
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing
- Data portability
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA/APD)
